Listen up, folks! We’ve all heard that water is good for us, but do you know how good? Well, it’s REAL good! Let’s just skip over the little fact that we would cease to exist without it, I hope we all already knew this (if you didn’t, it can be your little secret). Water makes up 90% of our brain and 70% of our body, so drinking plenty of it is the only way to keep our organs working the way they should.
Anyone ever hear of the benefits water has on weight loss? Drinking a full 8 ounce glass of water before eating will help you feel satisfied sooner than eating on a fully empty stomach. This is especially wise to do before eating when you are feeling extremely hungry in order to avoid binge eating. When it comes to weight loss, it all boils down to calories in/calories out. Consuming less calories is the only way to lose that stubborn fat.
Let’s talk about the magic it does for our skin. Drinking water IS drinking from the fountain of youth! We can’t run from the fact that we are aging, but we can do it with beauty and grace. Water keeps your skin moisturized, naturally. This would clearly play a role in the reduction of wrinkles. Who doesn’t want to put those off as long as possible? It also helps keep your skin clear, so those who suffer from acne would find they benefit, as well.
I’m going to sum the rest of this up, because water has limitless potential. However, I’ll lead the way, but the rest is in your hands. Here’s a list of some more of it’s awesome benefits;
It reduces stress
It reduces blood pressure
It aids in digestion
It boosts your immune system
It lubricates your joints
It gives you energy
It lowers your risk of heart disease
It flushes toxins
It regulates body temperature
Moral of the story, drink more water (half your body weight)
How many of you are avid workout fanatics? Now how many of you workout at least 3 times a week? If you don’t fall into one of those 2 categories, get up and move. Implementing some kind of exercise routine into your life can change your world. Especially those of us who have a busy and stressful life. It’s easy to tell yourself you don’t have time, but we all have the time. Changing your daily routine and adding something new can be hectic and overwhelming, but stick it out for at least 21 days, and it becomes routine. Once fitness becomes a habit, you will surprise yourself with how easy it is to stay on track. Even better, you can motivate someone else to change their life.
The benefits of working out range from having a stunning physique to keeping your hormones balanced. It’s no secret that exercise can change your body. Some of us need to lose a few pounds and others need to lose a significant number of pounds. We can all do it, but you are the only one who can accomplish it. Fitness is a commitment that takes effort everyday. Get a buddy system going, hire a personal trainer, or do it in a group. Having someone journey with you makes the process less overwhelming.
Take pictures of yourself every 2 weeks to compare your progress. Visually seeing how your body is changing with side by side pictures is extremely motivational! You will learn as you go, and with that knowledge, you will be able to help someone else who is starting out. Anything is achievable when you put your mind to it. Get up and put the work in everyday and the results will come.
Get motivated, stay motivated, and then pass it on!
